Chinese Tea Caddy

The last week was quiet busy so i couldn´t really take time to post anything. School started on wednesday and the whole weekend was a postprocessing-camp from my exchange organisation AFS. It was really great but it left no time to get all work for school done. I took some pictures with my wonderful Diana which will be developed soon.

On last Monday I had a chance to trade in the giftcard I got from my two wonderful girls Judy (http://joditttas.tumblr.com/) and Gianna (http://secretbelongings.tumblr.com/). The two were drawing for almost 2 hours the pattern of a chinese tea caddy on my face and shoulders, so it was pretty sad to wash it away after the shooting.

Ehrenfeld

On Saturday a friend of mine and I walked through a really great part of my hometown called Ehrenfeld. There is a lot of great street art around which i mostly photographed with my diana.

My outfit wasn´t really fitting the weather. The vintage-cardigan sucked up the rain that suddenly came from the sky....

While waiting for the rain to stop we stood in a doorway and saw this wonderfully ironic picture. The bars name is "Dry Peter"

Its also one of the most multicultural parts of the town, with a lot of stores selling international food. We found a really interessting store for russian food and had to check it out. The packing of the sweets were so cute that we had to buy some of them. Now the light is gone but i´ll take some pictures when the sun rises again.

oh so floral

To enjoy the wonderful warm sandals-weather i headed to the botanical garden of my hometown. In my early childhood we had been there quite often but now i hadn´t been there for ages. The park is really beautiful and spending a day there is like a little holiday. I could play around with the new fish-eye lense and hope that these pictures will be developed soon.
Late that day a great friend and i went to the rails for some walk. Sadly it started to rain soon...

coming home and getting fisheyes

We arrived back home on frieday night and there was waiting a really late birthdaypresent. A fish-eye lense was very high on my wishlist, so i was really amazed when it finally made its way to us.

The special viewfinder will be fixed on the top of the camera so you can better imagine how the picture will come out

so inviting

Always when I'm walking in new shoes this Paolo Nutini song "New Shoes" starts playing in my head. This wonderful leatherboots couldn't wait in their box so i took them out to the old rails near my place.

My dear Diana

In winter i got this cut camera not knowing much about it. While visiting the local lab in the little town i was living in I got the first shock. Developing only the negatives costs 6€ and getting a print 6€ again. Because I took pictures of many important events with friends I argeed on developing negatives. The turned out almost blank and I was pissed.
After a while I started to shoot again and took the remaining full films home to Germany. In a special lab they developed every picture for only 1€. They turned out supercool but the whole procedure was too expensive for me. Now my parents gifted me for my bday with the 35mm-back which simply allows you to shoot 35mm films with the usual camera. It`s ways cheaper to buy AND to develope these films. Now I can´t wait to start shooting again :)

sun sun sun

Sun. Almost a month after my return to Germany it was not raining. I spend the afternoon reading in the garden :)

Now Im going to try out cooking a vegetarian mushroom-lasange using tofu instead of nuddle-plates. Might be a desaster...

climbing up the attic

By climbing up the narrow stairs of our attic, I found my old kaleidoscope. Originally I was searching something completely different but after spotting the thing the plan was forgotten. A nice effect of the long stay on the attic is blurry almost dreamy view the dust made.
